Waves

I'm tired
sitting on the ground next to the beachside
hearing the waves coming and downing
The winds blow my hair
drying out memories

I stop here for a rest, breathing
the salty air. Nothing but
a sea gull squawks and wheels the level of the sea
I almost see the children running in front of me

How many days or years ago
I couldn’t remember
The sandy beach left their leftover of picnic

A heavy wave strike the rock
is like the thunder
removing the illustrations from my brain
I’m too tired to remember.
Let me lie down and wait for another wave
to take me to go. Nothing
left in the world
